Company Formation
How quickly can my company be registered?
Most Companies House applications are approved within 3–6 working hours on the standard service. We also offer priority and same-day options: priority applications submitted before 15:00 (GMT) are typically incorporated the same working day.
Do I need to live in the UK to form a UK company?
No. Directors and shareholders can live anywhere in the world. The only UK requirement is a registered office address in the UK, which we provide at 20-22 Wenlock Road, London. Our Non-Resident Director Services cover remote identity verification and document courier needs.
What documents do I need to provide?
For each director and shareholder we need proof of identity (passport or national ID) and proof of residential address (utility bill or bank statement dated within three months). Everything is submitted through our secure portal — we never store originals.
Registered Office
Can I use your address as my registered office?
Yes. Our central London address at 20-22 Wenlock Road, N1 7GU can be used as your registered office, service address and business correspondence address. All official government mail is scanned to your online portal within one working day.
Is my home address kept private?
Using our registered office and nominee service address keeps your residential address off the public Companies House register. Your home address is only visible to Companies House and HMRC on confidential records.
Compliance
What filings does a UK limited company need each year?
Every active limited company must file a confirmation statement (CS01) and annual accounts with Companies House, plus a Company Tax Return (CT604) with HMRC. VAT-registered companies also file quarterly VAT returns. Our secretarial and accounting packages monitor and prepare all of these for you.
What happens if I miss a filing deadline?
Companies House applies automatic late-filing penalties ranging from £150 to £1,500 depending on how late the accounts are, and repeated failures can lead to compulsory strike-off. If you are behind, contact us — we can often resolve outstanding filings and negotiate penalties, as we did for Ashcombe Estates in our case studies.
Banking
Can you guarantee a business bank account?
No agent can guarantee approval — banks make their own decisions. What we can guarantee is a professionally prepared application and introductions to 12+ banking partners, including challenger banks that specialise in new and director-owned companies. Our matched clients open accounts in 7–14 days on average.
Can non-resident directors open UK bank accounts?
Yes, though options are more limited. Several of our banking partners — both traditional and e-money institutions — accept non-resident directors, sometimes with a short UK visit or video verification. We advise on the best route for your nationality and residency before you apply.
Billing
How do I pay for your services?
We accept all major cards, bank transfer and PayPal. Formation packages are one-off payments; registered office, secretarial and accounting services are billed monthly or annually with a 10% discount on annual plans. There are no long-term lock-ins.
Can I cancel my monthly services?
Yes. Monthly plans can be cancelled with 30 days' notice at any time. We will transfer your statutory records and provide a handover pack to you or your new agent free of charge.
Support
How do I contact support if I have a problem?
You can call us on +1 802 896 5754 during business hours (Monday–Friday, 9:00–18:00 GMT), email hello@meridiancorp.co.uk, or use the contact form on our website. Existing clients also get priority support through their online portal with a guaranteed response within one working day.
Still have a question?
